Zineb Sedira was born in 1963 in Paris. She lives in London and works between Algiers, Paris and London. Her work has been shown in solo shows in many different institutions such as «Art on the Underground» (London, 2016), at the VCUQatar (Doha, 2016), at the Charles H. Scott Gallery (Vancouver, 2014), at the Blaffer Art Museum (Houston, 2013) and also the Prefix Institute of Contemporary Art de Toronto (2010). She took part in numerous group exhibitions, in different institutions such as the Studio Museum in Harlem (2016), the Institut Valencià d’Art Modern (Valencia, 2016), the Museu Coleçao Berardo (Lisbon, 2016), the Badischer Kunstverein (Karlsruhe, Allemagne, 2016), at the Power Plant Contemporary Art Gallery (Toronto, 2015) and the Smithsonian National Museum of African Art, (2014, Washington). Zineb Sedira has created “aria” an artist residency in Algiers, which supports the development of the artistic scene in Algeria through inter-cultural exchanges and collaborations
