PEDRO REYES (b. 1972, Mexico City, Mexico) lives and works in Mexico City.
Pedro Reyes’ work addresses the interplay between physical and social space. Expanding upon the concept of sculpture, the artist examines the invisible geometry within interpersonal relationships. His work looks at the possibilities of art to increasing the individual and collective degrees of agency.
Reyes has exhibited at diverse international institutions including the Carpenter Center for Visual Arts, Harvard University, Cambridge, MA; the Reykjavik Arts Museum, Reykjavik; The Yokohama Triennial; The Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, IL; the Aspen Art Museum, CO; Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia, Madrid; the South London Gallery, London; the Jumex Collection, Mexico City; P.S.1, New York, Long Island City, NY; The Hammer Museum, Los Angeles; the Shanghai Biennale; the Seattle Art Museum, WA; and the Venice Biennale.
