SEBASTIÁN PREECE (b. 1972, Chile) lives and works in Santiago, Chile.

Sebastián Preece work is site-specific. He searches out his sites intuitively, finding those with a strong emotional charge, which then passes on to his work. The final meaning is found tracing the geometry or the path of his cuts, dissections or excavations, in an archeological sense akin to Gordon Matta-Clark. 

Preece has exhibited in the Havana Biennial (2003), and continues to be very active in his home country.
