PEREJAUME (b. 1957, Sant Pol de Mar, Catalonia, Spain) lives and works in Barcelona.
Perejaume’s work expresses itself without discerning between techniques or formats. From painting to drawing, from video to photography, from installation to action, all his work veils and reveals, with puns on words, a personal and singular vision of the world.
Since 1974, his interdisciplinary work has been the subject of numerous solo shows in Spain, including a retrospective at the Museu d'Art Contemporani de Barcelona, Barcelona (1999). He has also exhibited at the Fundació Palau; Caldes d’Estrac (2004); and Centro-Museo ARTIUM; Vitoria, Spain (2003). He has participated in group exhibitions at the Arnolfini, London; the New Museum of Contemporary Art, New York; and the Venice Biennale (2005).
Perejaume is represented by Galería Joan Prats in Barcelona.
