. LEANDRO ERLICH (b. 1973, Buenos Aires, Argentina.) lives and work in Buenos Aires and Paris.
Leandro Erlich is interested in the contexts in which people find themselves everyday. He constructs installations that the viewer can enter, using building materials like mirrors and projections to manipulate perception. His work engages almost all the senses, and invites interaction with the spaces. Viewers become actors on an elaborate stage that is part reality, part fiction.
Erlich’s work has been exhibited at MACRO Museum of Modern Art, Rome (2005); the Venice Biennale (2005); the São Paolo Biennial (2004); El Museo del Barrio, New York (2001); and the Istanbul Biennial (2001); among others. Most recently he has exhibited at Palais du Tokyo, Paris, and the Lentos Kunstmuseum, Linz, Austria.
Erlich is represented by Ruth Benzacar Gallery in Buenos Aires.
