ANNE DELEPORTE (b. 1960, Corsica, France) lives and works in New York.

Anne Deleporte’s work is based on the appearance and disappearance of images in different media such as video and wallpaintings. Her plural and unconventional vision produces gigantic rebuses. Instead of constructing an appearance, the image becomes the site of an apparition: paradoxically, it is in disappearing that the artist reveals the nature of her photography.

Deleporte has had exhibitions throughout the U.S. and abroad, including at the Etruscan Museum, Cortona, Italy (2007); the Centre Pompidou, Paris (2006); the Exit Institute, Peja, Kosovo (2006); the Shanghai Art Museum, Shanghai (2005); Roebling Hall, New York (2005); and BAM Projects, New York (2004). She has current and upcoming exhibitions at the Contemporary Art Center, Languedoc-Roussillon, Sète, France, and the Glow Festival, Santa Monica, CA.
